DESCRIPTION:This two-day event is held annually on the first weekend of December at Battlefield Park South\, located near the original site of the Battle of Great Bridge which took place on December 9\, 1775. Often called “Virginia’s Bunker Hill\,” this short but intense battle was one of the first Patriot victories in the Revolutionary War and helped drive the British Government form the colony of Virginia.
