A new event for the Horsfall Coy. 6 Fusiliers (Shane Watson, Denis Messier, Jordan Rowland, Bob Clarke, Greg Brunson, and Vincent Wolf) attended along with 4 Distaff. A small camp was set up thanks again to Pvt. Bob Clarke and a skirmish battle was demonstrated to the crowd reenacting the Battle of Blandford April 25, 1781. Named for the 18th Century settlement of Blandford which is now incorporated into the town of Petersburg.

Also of note for this plantation: this is where British Major- Gen Wm Phillips—who famously said” where a goat can go, a man can go, and where a man can go, he can drag a gun”—is buried in an unmarked grave in the Blandford Church cemetery nearby.

Rain on Sunday cancelled the day. A very promising event for the future as it is planned to expand next year.
