Another cold day at Princeton in January (at least Eric thought so; Alex thought it was quite balmy for January) – we only had a few 23rd in attendance but it was a quality few! Alex Ivanchishin, Eric Spaar, Denis Messier and Jordan Rowland marched out with the British line fielding with the 42nd Highlander Grenadiers and performed valiantly. As is the custom for this event, on Saturday we traveled north; and on the way Alex, Jordan and Denis visited an historic site. This year it was Valley Forge, PA. We stayed at Alex’s loyalist homestead in NJ and Eric visited with his parents in Cherry Hill, NJ. We
all met up at the Princeton Battlefield early Sunday morning for the half day event. Once again it was well attended by British and Continental units and has grown over the last three years. Before departing for home we had lunch along with many of the reenactors at a restaurant reserved for the event in Princeton.
