On April 19th, 2025, the town of Litchfield, CT commemorated the 250th anniversary of the Lexington Alarm with an event on the steps of the Congregational Church.
News from Boston arrived on horseback and the call for volunteers was cried out from the steeple! The bells were rung and the names of those who responded to the Alarm 250 years ago were read and saluted with canon and musket fire.
