The “Putnam County Heroes Battle the Redcoats” event will be held on the first Saturday in June and is slated to be a small, regional living history day with several of the local Rev War era units from the area in attendance.  This event will be a celebration of the many contributions that Putnam County made to the American Revolution, with the county itself later named in honor of the Continental Army’s General Israel Putnam.
